I've been active in gay and lesbian groups and we are not suffering like many think. We're challenging the boundaries. We're challenging the way relationships, love, and sexuality are being viewed. We're not apologizing. We're not hiding. We know what we want and we know what we deserve. We're proud of who we are. We are the groundbreakers for tomorrow...

At the Gay Alliance of The Genesee Valley (GAGV) in Rochester, I am a member of the Young Adult Group, an advocate for the Anti-Violence Program, and a member of the QuicheMaster's Speakers Bureau. I also do some work with the Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) chapter for the Rochester area.
I love advocacy, activism, and reaching out to others. In my free time I do a lot of writing, some of which can be found at my blogger site which I affectionately called I Just Made Room For More Clothes which explains my reasons for "cleaning out my closet". I hope to write a book in the near future detailed with humor, advocacy, and memoire.
I have also constructed a simple geocities webpage for LGBT Youth which can be accessed by clicking on the following link: GLBT Youth Pride Page
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of the Earth. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightening about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We were born to make manifest the glory that is within each and every one of us and when we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give others permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fears, our presence automatically liberates others around us." ~ Nelson Mandela, Inaugural Speech as President of South Africa, May 1994
